Technical Data: ASME Bulletin

The Chempump Division of Teikoku USA Inc. has maintained the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certification for “N” “NPT” and NS” equipment since 1971. Chempump’s ASME quality program is certified to NCA-4000 and meet ASME Section III, Division 1, Classes 1, 2 & 3 program requirements for pumps, vessels, valves, piping systems, supports, shop assembly, parts, and materials. This quality rating is audited by the Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC) every 3 years.Typical fluids pumped are Boric acid, heavy water, Nitric acid, and radioactive water. Recommended Pumps: > Chempump G Series > Chempump NC Series
Chempump has developed a series of Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP) and modular Quality system to upgrade pump components that meet a specific quality level for the application. Pressure boundary and non-pressure boundary components, as well as added elements such as IEEE motor components and positive material identification (PMI), can be added to upgrade a commercial-grade pump. Chempump offers pumps that meet the following sections of the ASME Boiler & Pressure Boundary Code: Section II - Materials Section III - Construction (N-Stamp) Section V - Nondestructive Examination Section IX - Welding Section XI - Replacements Recommended Pumps: > Chempump G Series > Chempump NC Series
Developed for Ontario Power Generation, this program utilizes Chempump’s quality control programs for Canadian applications where ASME Section III/N Stamp certifications are not required. Recommended Pumps: > Chempump G Series > Chempump NC Series
Developed at the beginning of the US Navy Nuclear program in the late 1950s, Chempump MIL-I-45208A has been applied to Chempump’s canned motor pumps for use in submarine and surface ship applications where low noise and critical rotordynamic properties are required. Typical applications include electronics cooling, potable water and oxygen generation. Recommended Pumps: > Teikoku > Chempump G Series > Chempump NC Series

Teikoku USA and the Chempump Division products can be supplied with certified material test reports, factory hydrostatic and hydraulic test reports (per the Hydraulic Institute testing procedures), a certificate of conformance and other varieties of leakage and weld quality tests to document compliance to customers’ exacting standards in any critical power or process application.
